Nice post Valerie, I think setting deadlines is so important to ensure you get things done. I still have things in my to-do list that I have no deadlines for and they are in my ‘someday’ list and that never really takes priority over anything, whereas anything I have a deadline for gets done!

Not thought about the limiting yourself by time tip…I will use that and see how I get on with it.

Tips 1 and 2 are important for stimulating creativity. If you go and do something else whether another task, taking a break or doing some exercise, your sub-conscious gets to work and ideas will pop up. If I’m feeling stuck I often go out for a walk or run – rhythmic movement exercises the other, creative side of the brain.

Also – look at your colleagues and clients for ideas. What are people talking about, what’s challenging them most or is there a re-occurring theme appearing?
