Valerie Eaton Virtual PASmart VA provides virtual assistant and online marketing services to small businesses and self-employed professionals in the London area. These are people whose businesses are growing and they need help to manage all the competing demands on their time but don’t have the resources or budget to hire full-time support.

Based in London, Smart VA is owned and run by Valerie Eaton who has over 20 years experience working as a PA at senior level in both the public and private sector, including Bloomsbury Health Authority, InterCity, British Telecom, Syntegra, and in the marketing department of De Beers Group.

If you’re like a lot of business owners then I’m sure that you probably hate doing the boring admin stuff. Let’s face it, it’s not the most interesting and inspiring activity!

We provide a wide range of virtual PA support to clients to help them save time and money in their business. We handle these administrative tasks quickly and efficiently, so that clients can spend more time on those activities that will earn money for their business.

However, Smart VA is more than just a business offering admin support. We also specialise in the set up and management of clients’ online marketing activities.

After successfully using LinkedIn, email marketing and our own website to get clients through the door, we now help other business owners use these tools to promote their business professionally to their contacts.

We enable clients to have a professional and consistent presence online so that they can drive traffic to their website and attract a steady stream of leads to their business.

We like to work closely with our clients and offer personal support to them whether that’s via phone, email or Skype. Our aim is to share our knowledge and expertise to help clients choose the best software and tools to streamline their processes and workflow; get advice on how best to market their business online; and find out what support they need in their business in order to help them grow.

About Valerie

I have been providing administrative and organisational support for over 20 years and I enjoy bringing my skills of calm organisation and attention to detail to help busy senior executives and their teams work more effectively.

That includes handling diaries and emails, organising travel itineraries, managing budgets and expenses on Excel, maintaining contact databases, and handling the administration of conferences and training events.

I also enjoy getting creative, whether that’s designing and formatting reports in Word, putting together presentations on PowerPoint or creating Ebook covers in Photoshop.

And it hasn’t always been about doing the admin, I have also been responsible for managing a large collection of diamond jewellery – and having the opportunity to wear some of it!

I love to develop my skills and learn new things. When I decided to set up my business, I did a web design course so I could create my own website using WordPress, and I also taught myself how to use email marketing and social media to promote my business. This has paid off as I have got clients from my online marketing activities.

The great thing is that I can now use this experience to help other business owners who want to become more effective in handling their day to day activities and promote their business professionally online.

When not working on my business, I enjoy gardening, walking in the countryside, chocolate brownies, knitting, reading a good crime novel and the odd glass of red wine!
